Union Assurance (UA) said this week that it is equipped to provide its customers up-to-date information about their life insurance-premium payments through a simple text message (SMS).
The messages sent directly to mobile phones, is a first in the local insurance industry with UA having once again proven that innovation and technology acts as core elements in their functions, the company said in a media statement.
Ruwan Bakmedeniya – General Manager – IT, UA said a mobile alert sent directly to one’s mobile phone makes it easy for a customer to be updated when a payment is due; and also provides ease of mind when proof of payment confirmation is received.
He said this eliminates the need to contact a UA representative, visit an outlet or even be connected to e-mail. |
