AOD, Sri Lanka’s international design campus offering internationally acclaimed Northumbria University School of Design degrees to Sri Lankan youth, has announced its OPEN DAY.
AOD’s Open Day is an interactive day at the campus, giving an insight to its education, facilities, students, alumni, careers and the faculty through campus tours and design exhibitions. In addition, AOD will also host a range of free design workshops conducted by its international faculty, providing a rare opportunity for design students to receive introduction in to creative education from professional designers.
AOD’s newest contribution to Sri Lankan youth- Creative Wave, inter-school competition for design and creativity will also be introduced on this day. Creative Wave is especially for school students and is a venture endorsed by the ministry of education with the support of British Council Sri Lanka. Creative Wave will recognize exceptional creative talent at a school age and help them to go on to higher education and thereafter successful careers in design.
