An enriching learning experience awaits students of INTI’s UOW degree programmes, affiliated with a university that enjoys a Five-star status in Australia, and placed in the top 2% of world universities.
The University of Wollongong (UOW) has been ranked among the top world universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011 and QS World University Rankings 2011. These prestigious rankings compare universities across a range of important criteria, including research excellence.
The 2012 Good Universities Guide confirms UOW’s longstanding position as one of Australia’s leading research institutions. UOW received five stars in five key areas, where only the top 20% of universities in Australia can be awarded five stars in any one category: Getting a Job, Graduate Satisfaction, Positive Graduate Outcomes, Staff Qualifications and Generic Skills.
INTI has successfully run UOW’s degree programmes in Commerce (major in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing or Public Relations), Communication & Media Studies (major in Marketing Communication and Advertising), IT (major in eBusiness or Network Design & Management), and Computer Science (major in Software Engineering, Multimedia and Game Development or Digital Systems Security). Students of the UOW programmes are enrolled as UOW students, which grant them access to on-line resources that are available at UOW. These include e-books, e-journals, and e-teaching and learning materials.
The graduation certificate is conferred by UOW and bears the name University of Wollongong. As the courses delivered at INTI are identical in content to those at UOW in Australia, students can also choose to transfer at the end of any semester to continue their studies at UOW in Wollongong. Transfer options available are the 2+1, 1.5+1.5 and 1+2 arrangements.
“INTI’s proven expertise, experience and passionate dedication are precisely the qualities needed to uphold the world-class academic standards that UOW is renowned for,” said Emeritus Professor Barry Harper, Academic Dean of UOW Programmes, Malaysia. “Our aim is to nurture quality graduates who are experts in their fields and who can work anywhere in the world. Above all, we are looking to produce tomorrow’s leaders, mature well-rounded individuals who will make a contribution to society.”
Students of INTI benefit not only from the institution’s over 25 years of experience and strong track-record, but also gain from the global synergy and resources that Laureate International Universities provides. INTI is part of Laureate, the world’s largest private education network with a presence in 29 countries, with more than 60 accredited universities and 130 campuses, serving more than 675,000 students globally.
