The legendary Desmond de Silva would arrive in Colombo shortly to perform at the concert ‘Salute to the Roots of Sri Lankan Music’ on 16th June organised by Rajiv Sebastian at Nelum Pokuna.
The Sri Lankan music loving public will have the honour of experiencing the dynamic performer after three long years. During his stay he will also perform at a sing-along at a leading hotel.
The legendary performer who is celebrating 50 years in showbiz next year, will have serious discussions with Rajiv with regard to which venue he would perform at for the Fiftieth Anniversary. Des is also billed to record two albums under the Record label Starlanka Music owned by Rajiv Sebastian.
While one album would contain 50 songs in the form of a non-stop, the other would contain brand new hits. Rajiv will be responsible for the music arrangements for both albums. If time permits, we could see his skills in a couple of music videos too. |
