More than 15,000 users and 30 hospitals are currently using trilingual online medical advisory service edoctor.lk, a Sri Lankan outfit which started operations a little over three years ago, according to a statement. As per the statement, this service provides “medical advice either online or via phone. An understanding, non-judgmental platform where no question is too trivial for the attention of the qualified panel of Sri Lankan doctors. Their services are extensive. On a personal level, they answer any medical query.
Prior to visiting a doctor they can advise you on what investigations could be required and they also aid in the interpretation of these reports. They also guide you to which specialist to go. eDoctor comes to your rescue in answering those pesky questions that slipped your mind at the doctor’s – all the side effects, price of drugs, etc.”.Further, it also noted, “Family planning advice and help on sensitive areas such as sexual problems and infertility are offered.
