Aloka Elderly Home has recently taken steps to provide care to an elderly person of around 70 that the children are said to be in Italy. Aloka Elderly Home is located on the land belonging to Panadura, Pinwatta Saddharmakara Pirivena and It has a history of 13 years which is managed by Aloka Human Development Foundation with the help of people of humanitarian hearts.
According to Mr. Piyal Fernando, Chief Controller of Aloka Human Development Foundation, Aloka Elderly Home currently has around one hundred residents, of which around forty are spending time as disabled. Recently, the OIC of Panadura South Police Children's and Women Bureau has come to the Aloka Elderly Home and made a request to take care of this elderly person.
According to the current situation, there is no space in the elderly home, but due to humanitarian reasons, Mr. Piyal Fernando intervened and accepted to take care of the elderly person until his death.
Among the various inhumane stories that we hear in today's society, the fact that such a story happened through such a beautiful man shows that such rare people still live in today's society.
