The Washington-based IMF Executive Board on Wednesday met IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva as part of its ongoing review of the matter raised by WilmerHale’s investigation of the World Bank’s Doing Business 2018 report.
The Executive Board had previously met with the representatives of WilmerHale on this matter. In a statement, the Executive Board said it remains committed to a thorough, objective, and timely review and expects to meet again soon for further discussion.
The Doing Business report was discontinued after an audit found many irregularities including pressure on staffers to manipulate the data of some countries under Ms. Georgieva watch as then chief executive of the bank.
