Iconic Mount Lavinia Hotel recently announced the return of the famous Italian Chef, Roberto Radoni, from Gorilla Kitchen in London, for a special, limited-time culinary event featuring his hand-crafted signature pizzas.
Chef Roberto’s culinary journey began in Calabria, Italy, where he entered the world of professional cooking at just 14 years old. Raised in a family where food was at the heart of everyday life, he developed a deep appreciation for authentic Italian flavours and the craftsmanship behind traditional pizza-making.
He is the founder and owner of Gorilla Kitchen, a celebrated street-food-driven Italian concept in London. What began as a bold vision, transforming a shipping container into a fully functioning mobile pizza kitchen, has since grown into one of London’s favourite destinations for high-quality artisanal pizzas.

Chef Roberto’s return is a moment our guests have been eagerly waiting for and his visit to earlier this year to celebrate World Pizza Day left a lasting impression, and here we are once again as promised before the new year officially dawns, with his authentic, vibrant flavours of his Italian Artistry all the way from London-based Gorilla Kitchen to the golden coast of
Mount Lavinia from Tuesday, December 2nd, to Saturday, December 6th, 2025.
‘We are incredibly excited to welcome this wonderful masterpiece, Chef Roberto Radoni back to Mount Lavinia Hotel. His Gorilla Kitchen pizzas are truly exceptional, offering our guests a genuine, world-class Italian experience right here on the beach’ said Anura
Dewapura, Chief Operating Officer, Mount Lavinia Hotel Group. ‘His return for the second time this year highlights our dedication to offering unforgettable dining experiences as we gear up for 2026’.
