My Cola Beverages, the second largest local carbonated soft drinks brand, has now expanded its distribution channels taking the products to consumers island-wide. As part of their expansion journey, My Cola has now made available its range at all SPAR supermarkets and Arpico Supercentres.
“Entering the local food and beverage industry that was dominated by key players, My Cola Beverages rose to the challenge through sheer determination and creativity. The company launched carbonated beverages in 2004, in a range of delightful flavours to tantalize the consumer. Today the brand markets seven flavours such as My Cola, My Orange, My Lemon, My Soda, My Ginger Beer (MGB), My Cream Soda and My Berry to tantalize the taste buds of their loyal consumers,” it said in a media release
My Cola Beverages says it provides consumers with the biggest ‘value for money’ range compared to any other brands in the country. The company that originally entered the market with the well-known “Cristal” the oldest bottled water brand in Sri Lanka, My Cola has managed to carve out its own unique identity in the industry gaining the trust of consumers and establishing the brand as one guaranteeing real taste and undisputed quality. “A decisive management change in 2020 led to an organisational restructuring and added efforts were taken to elevate the flavours to international standards. The successful improvement was recognized and evident when the brand received the titles of ‘Official Bottled Drinking Water Partner’ and ‘Official Carbonated Beverages Partner of Sri Lanka Cricket’,” the release said.
Commenting on the expansion and distribution, newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of My Cola Beverages Sharm Fernando stated, “Over the past year we have worked with commitment and dedication to overcome the many challenges that came our way. We focused on product development and explored new flavours while being consistent in quality and taste. That enabled us to gradually and steadily establish ourselves in the local market. Today My Cola competes with the international brands in the local market with a range of products which represent Sri Lankan identity.”
My Cola Beverages is currently available island-wide at over 15,000 general trade outlets and has successfully grown and expanded operations in modern trade distributing to over 2,000 locations. Having partnered with Sathosa since 2020, My Cola recently started its partnership with SPAR and also launched its product ranges in Arpico Supercentres last week. Furthermore, My Cola Beverages has entered into strategic partnerships with many online platforms including, ORELBuy, Quickee.lk, Catchme.lk and Takas.lk.
