In a significant partnership aimed at empowering the Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya (HFC) community, NDB Bank has launched the exclusive HFC Affinity Credit Card. The card, unveiled on September 3 at the HFC School Green Hall, offers members of the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) of the Bambalapitiya a range of exclusive benefits, further cementing the bond between NDB Bank and one of Sri Lanka’s most respected educational institutions, the bank said in a media release.
As a part of the launch ceremony, five distinguished members of the HFC PPA were ceremoniously handed their new Affinity Cards, symbolising the start of a new chapter in financial convenience and community support. The card, featuring the Holy Family Convent’s logo, is specially designed to provide financial benefits while also contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the school, as a portion of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting various projects and initiatives at the school.
Through this collaboration, NDB offers cardholders a variety of exclusive benefits, including the waiver of the first year’s annual fee, installment payment plans for school fees, and special discounts at partner merchants. The card aims to offer members of the HFC PPA more than just financial convenience—it creates a unique opportunity to give back to the institution that shaped their lives.
Ashan Wikramanayake, AVP, Head of Card Center at NDB Bank, said: “We are happy to launch this exclusive Affinity Card in partnership with the Holy Family Convent PPA. It’s more than just a card—it’s an opportunity for members to experience financial convenience while supporting their alma mater. We look forward to continuing to offer personalized products that resonate with the unique needs of institutions like HFC.”
Speaking on the partnership, the President of the HFC PPA Shihara Wimalaratne highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership strengthens the bond between the association and NDB, supporting not only individual members but also contributing to the future of our alma mater.”
Principal of Holy Family Convent Rev. Sr. Charitha Thandalge expressed her appreciation for the partnership, emphasizing how the launch of this card is a testament to the school’s ongoing journey towards excellence and community development.
