A new online store specialising in men’s accessories has been launched. www.tiesandbows.com offers wide selection of neckties and accessories for men and boys. A unique feature of the store is that it retails product exclusively “Made in Sri Lanka”. With imports being restricted due to the foreign exchange crisis, Ties and Bows is a good platform for small Sri Lankan manufacturers to retail their products not only to the local market but to international market as well, the company said in a media release.
While accessories, especially neckties and bowties are important part of men’s wardrobe as they are used to express individual tastes and style, neckwear such as ties are fast becoming accessories reserved for special occasions such as weddings as opposed to daily (office) wear, and as a result demand for premium and unique neckwear has increased. For example, the demand for traditional striped and plaid office ties are on the decline, but the demand for solid ties appropriate for special occasions such as weddings are on the increase. Ties and Bows takes into consideration changing men’s clothing preferences and offers a curated range of products suitable for formal as well as casual occasions, the statement said.
Ties and Bows also offer bespoke service to custom make neckwear for weddings (groom’s retinue) as well as corporate neckwear.
