The Port City Colombo has donated high flow oxygen therapy machines to aid the national battle against the pandemic.
The donation was made to Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi at the Health Ministry premises on Tuesday and was handed over by Jiang Houliang, CHEC Port City Colombo Managing Director, on behalf of the company, the company said in a media release.
The minister appreciated the donation stating that it is a timely initiative due to the high demand for such equipment with increasing COVID cases across the island. Port City Colombo has continued to support the health authorities in their efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic outbreak in the country and has made multiple well-timed donations to the authorities over the past few months.
Health Ministry Secretary Dr. S. H. Munasinghe and Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena as well as Port City Colombo Manager Marketing Cui Yang, Head of Public Relations Kassapa Senarath and Manager Finance Analyst Nabiha Mohomed also participated at the handover.
