The Colombo rubber auctions saw a market adjustment with prices easing to Rs.700 this week compared to the higher levels achieved last week.
This is still considered a very reasonable price with even the RSS moving up to Rs.472, which compared to last week is a most welcome price, brokers said. The rubber prices for RSS were down last week.
Quantities on offer were around 205 MT at the Colombo rubber auctions this week which is almost the same as the previous week.
A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
