SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT and Telecommunications Services Provider, was honoured with the ‘Best Telecom Service Provider’ Award at the Global Economics Awards which concluded in London recently. The award was presented as a testament to SLT-MOBITEL’s role in transforming Sri Lanka with innovative digital connectivity solutions.
The Global Economics Awards organised by the London-based Global Economics Magazine aims to recognise and reward key players and the best performers in international markets from different sectors. These prestigious awards provide companies with global reach and recognition, SLT-Mobitel said in a media release.
“Esteemed for its revolutionary approach, especially amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, SLT-MOBITEL continues to propel the nation forward with its state-of-the-art services for small and medium businesses, telecommuting, study platforms, enterprise solutions, E-health, mobile money and a host of other innovative digital solutions,” it said.
Additionally, SLT-MOBITEL has also been recognized amongst the '10 Most Admired Companies in 2020' for its continuous efforts in empowering Sri Lankans, spanning 163 years. This prestigious title was presented to SLT-MOBITEL during the Most Admired Company Awards for being a role model to other organisations and entrepreneurs through its remarkable financial achievements and valuable contribution to society.
