Sanasa Life Insurance, which was established charging as little as Rs. 05-20 per month acquired licences for life insurance and general insurance in 2003 and 2005, respectively. It is currently in the seventh place of the insurance industry with a growth rate of 90% having been reported in the second quarter of 2023, according to data from the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL). Sanasa Life Insurance has earlier bagged several awards such as those for the 'Fastest growing insurance company in Sri Lanka', the 'Most sustainable micro insurance company', and the 'Sustainable brand of the year'.
