15th Renovated Station in Sri Lanka Advances “Cleaner Energy, Better Life” Vision and Aligns with Clean Sri Lanka Public Sanitation Initiative North Central Province, Sri Lanka – July 15, 2025: Sinopec announced the official opening of its newly modernized fuel station in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, marking the company’s 15th upgraded facility on the island.
This milestone reflects Sinopec’s long-term strategy to modernize Sri Lanka’s fuel retail infrastructure and underscores its commitment to safety, innovation, and equitable service delivery across all regions.

Under the theme “Cleaner Energy, Better Life,” the new fuel station located in Srawasthipura, Anuradhapura, integrates global best practices in fueling efficiency, architectural design, and delivers faster service with reduced waste. In addition, advanced safety infrastructure includes CCTV surveillance, spill containment features, and trained personnel adhering to rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

A key highlight of the station is its high standard public-access sanitary facilities introduced to support traveler convenience and community hygiene. The Station now includes Six modern toilets, aligning with the company’s effort to expand clean and accessible amenities across its network, in alignment with the Clean Sri Lanka initiative. Tellambura Filling Station dealer Mr. Jayantha Tellambura shared his perspective on the transformation:

To date, 140 Sinopec station washrooms across the island are open to the public, with 14 meeting the Clean Sri Lanka program standards—making a measurable contribution to national public health and sanitation goals.
Through close collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka and local communities, Sinopec aims to build an energy network rooted in social responsibility, innovation, and equitable service delivery.
