Colombo stocks saw marginal gains on Monday at the start of a fresh week with stockbrokers saying that profit-taking by investors is slowly ending.
Many stockbrokers expected the market to rebound with the impending good results for the last quarter coming in. They said that investors will react optimistically to the good earning spike and start buying these counters.
However, the concern was that turnover levels are steadily sliding with today's turnover at Rs. 2.2 billion.
The All Share Index was marginally up by 0.09 per cent to close at 12,470.81 with the S&P SL20 witnessing a 0.38 per cent hike to close at 4,235.35.
