Former Minister S.M. Chandrasena arrested over an investigation on corruption charges was remanded until July 18 today.
Initially, he was called to make a statement to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over allegations of distribution of maize seeds valued at Rs. 25 million during the 2015 presidential election.
He was arrested after he made the statement and produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court where he was remanded.
