The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has begun inviting applications from Sri Lanka’s corporate firms to compete in the “Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2017,” (BCCS2017) an annual event conducted for the 14th consecutive year.
The competition, which is aimed at encouraging Lankan companies to adopt best sustainability practices, focuses on all stakeholders of the company ranging from employees, customers, community, shareholders, the Government and the environment. The awards will be made at a ceremony on November 28. In the meantime, a seminar will be held at the chamber auditorium in Colombo on August 11 at 9.30 am to brief the prospective applicants about the competition, the chamber said in a media release.
