CBL Samaposha, as one of Sri Lanka’s leading food conglomerates and a strong advocate for children’s health and wellbeing, continues to engage young minds with educational and fun activities through the ‘Samaposha Dinana Daruwo Learning Platform’ on Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/samaposha.lk/) which aims to develop physical and mental wellness of future generations
The ‘Dinana Daruwo’ online campaign fulfilled the need for a social-emotional learning platform that would focus on reinforcing good habits within the family unit. This platform, developed to engage children through fun activities, focused on building good routines, family communication, nutrition habits while also developing new skills and learning. Encouraged by the immense feedback received from parents across the nation on the positive impact of the online platform to support the mental and emotional development of children during this time, the second series of the programme was launched this month, the company said in a media release.
Motivating the young to start good habits from home, the second series of ‘Dinana Daruwo’ focuses on the theme of good deeds. Children are motivated to maintain a “My Good Habits” book to record their good deeds as words and pictures and submit their entries for nutritious rewards. A highlight of the programme is the innovative way in which parents and children are engaged in fun and creative ways on ensuring family safety during the pandemic.
Commenting on the impact made by the “Samaposha Dinana Daruwo” digital platform, Jayanga Perera, General Manager, Marketing, CBL Food Cluster, stated, “We decided to continue the ‘Samaposha Dinana Daruwo’ learning programme due to the overwhelming response we received from parents who found the activities to have a significant impact in helping their children stay active and maintain a healthy mindset. By providing interactive and engaging content along with exciting competitions, we hope to aid young children to adapt to the new normal lifestyle while ensuring their continuous development by nourishing the mind as well as the body.”
