Colombo stock market showed positive returns on Tuesday at the start of a 4-day short week reflecting an optimistic market sentiment, analysts said. The market was closed on Monday as it was a public holiday on account of the day following the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day which fell on Sunday. Analysts said that the change in the constitution that was passed with the vast majority of the parliament recently has impacted positively on trader sentiment.
