Hayleys Fentons, the Hayleys Group’s leading integrated engineering solutions specialist, has rolled out its state-of-the-art communication system to state hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
The company said in a media release that this initiative was developed with the aim of enabling doctors and front-liners battling the virus to communicate via a PA system, and visually monitor their patients through CCTV without any physical presence or contact.
Concurrently, patients may also call on their medical officers to receive attention to their medical needs and requests. Hereby, not only enabling better patient supervision, but enhancing the safety of all medical staff having higher exposure risks.
“We have always placed a heavy emphasis on the value of engineering and innovation across many diverse sectors including healthcare. Hence, as our nation braces itself against the latest wave of COVID-19, we are implementing this communication system with the hopes of strengthening the safety of the front-liners by minimising their exposure to the virus.” Hayleys Fentons Managing Director, Hasith Prematillake said.
To date, the new monitoring system has been implemented at the state hospitals in Iranavila, Balapitiya, Palamunai, Dankotuwa, and the District Hospital of Mullaitivu.
