Emirates Telecommunications Group, further to an earlier announcement in April 2018, said that on November 30 it has completed the sale of its 100 per cent shareholding in Etisalat Lanka Ltd to Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (Hutch).
Upon completion of the sale, Hong Kong’s CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd group will have a majority and controlling stake of 85 per cent whilst Etisalat Group will have 15 per cent ownership of Hutch Lanka.
