In a remarkable leap from local acclaim to global recognition, Modern Pack Lanka Pvt. Ltd, in partnership with SLINTEC, has won the WorldStar Award 2025 in the Sustainable Innovations Category, judged by a panel of 51 international experts. The award, presented by the World Packaging Organisation, is the highest global honor in the packaging industry, with this year’s competition drawing over 550 entries from more than 100 countries.
The winning innovation transforms agricultural waste such as corn husk and rice straw into compostable, food-safe packaging.
