Well-known local and international academic Dr. Radhika Coomaraswamy has been appointed as an independent director at John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) with effect from October 1.
Dr. Coomaraswamy was the Chairperson of Human Rights Commission from 2003 to 2006 and a Director of the International Centre for Ethnic Studies from 1984 to 2006. She also served as UN Under Secretary General and as Special Representative of the Secretary General on Children and Armed Conflict from 2006 until her retirement in 2012. - ENDS -
