Six Sri Lankan students who participated in the international robotics competition titled “International Creativity and Innovation Awards”, held in Thailand, and showcased their concepts, were recognized with honors.
Accordingly, six pupils from Burhani Serendib College in Colombo were honored with platinum and gold prizes.
This competition had almost 1,000 contestants exhibit their concepts from 400 teams from 24 different nations.
The platinum prize was awarded to a device that three Sri Lankan students developed that promptly locates forest fires and detects their presence.
Additionally, the gold prize went to the equipment that traveled to the ocean successfully eliminating waste from the ocean upon discovery.
