Elizabeth Moir School will put all their creativity in to their brand new production, Footloose - The Musical, which will be held on 6th and 7th November 2015 at the Lionel Wendt theatre.
Footloose follows the story of Ren McCormack who moves to a small town where the local government has banned dancing and rock music; he leads his classmates to defy the law and challenge Reverend Shaw Moore to have a real senior prom. It’s a fast-paced drama filled with dynamic and explosive songs such as the now-famous hit songs “Footloose”, "I need a hero" and "Let's Hear It for the Boy”.
Footloose is directed by Sureka Amerasinghe and Dinusha Gunawansa, and produced by Shazana Shahjahan, with choreography by Natasha Jayasuriya will guide the cast of 47 students between the ages of 12 and 18.
