Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo will be presenting Kathak recital by Sri Lankan dancer Thilini Rangika and her disciples on January 18, 2019 at 6.00 p.m. at Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre auditorium, 16/2 Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7.
Thilini Rangika began Kathak dancing from a very early age under the guidance of Mrs.Moksha Samarasooriya, who is a faculty at Indian Cultural Centre. She has done her Bachelor degree at University of Kelaniya in performing arts, Master’s degree at University of Kelaniya in drama; theater, post graduate diploma at University of Colombo in education and Nritya Bisharad degree at Bhatkande Sangeeth Vidyapith (Lucknow).
She is currently working as a dance teacher at Nimala Mariya Balika MahaVidyalaya, Ja-Ela and as Kathak instructor at Rangara Kathak Dancing Academy.
