Leo Art is an artist in residence programme designed to encourage creativity in the fine arts, by providing artist with a space to express creative ideas and collaborate with agency teams to showcase their work to a wider audience.
As Leo Burnett Worldwide celebrates 81 years of creativity and leadership this year they have curated an exhibition by established Sri Lankan artists at Park Street mews. The exhibition comprised of 19 artists with no more than 5 pieces each.
All paintings were hung outside on the walls that adjoined the cafes at Park Street Mews. With a mixture of abstract, figurative, oil paint watercolour and ink pen on show. The artists are well recognised within Sri Lanka’s art scene, many of them have many solo exhibitions under their belt and regularly exhibit at Paradise and Barefoot gallery.
Managing Director Ranil De Silva of Leo Burnett Solutions said of the artwork represented “I believe these certain artists have the potential of a global standard and their work is of an equal quality. This is the first time 19 contemporary Sri Lankan artists have exhibited together. You are able to see a cross section of artists, view the diversity, styles and talent that reside in this country.”

The Supreme Court today refused interim relief in an application filed by President’s Counsel Senaka Walgampaya seeking an Order from the Supreme Court compelling the President to appoint judges to fill the existing vacancies in the Court Of Appeal.
The deadline for online applications to the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination has been extended until July 12, the Department of Examinations said.
