‘A Treasure Trove of Thoughts’ by Tiran Weerasinghe and ‘Janani’s Jewellery Box’ by Janani Weerasinghe, two books of short stories, poems and texts were launched by the young writers amidst a gathering of family, friends and teachers at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo last week.
“If there is a book that you wish to read that hasn’t been written, then it is your duty to write it,” says 13-year-old Tiran. His sister Janani is ten and they are both students of the British School in Colombo.
All proceeds from the sale of their books will go to the Deaf and Blind School in Rathmalana.
