International conservationists gathered in Nepal for the first time to develop a Conservation Strategy Plan for the Fishing Cat.
The First International Fishing Cat Conservation Symposium was hosted last month in association with the NGO Himalayan Nature and Small Mammals Conservation and Research Foundation. Participants included representatives from Fishing Cat range countries like Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Bangladesh, as well as conservationists from the USA, UK, Spain and Germany.
