A total of 13 suspects have been arrested in connection with today's explosions, out of which 10 have been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
He noted that these suspects had been arrested by officers attached to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
Mr. Gunasekara said that a van which was used by the suspects to travel to Colombo was taken into custody by the Wellawatte Police this evening.
Further, a search has been carried out at a residence in Sarikamulla, Panadura in which the suspects are believed to have been lodget at, the Police Spokesman added.
