The Fisheries Ministry has said that 21 Sri Lankans who were arrested for poaching in Maldivian waters on March 02 have been released by the Maldivian government.
However, the group of fishermen are currently unable to return to Sri Lanka since they do not have passports in their possession.
Accordingly, the Foreign Affairs Ministry is taking necessary measures to prepare passports for the suspects and bring them back to the country.
