A 22-year old was shot dead near the Angoda junction at around 7:30 pm today (Jan 07), Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
According to the police, the shooting was carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived in a motorcycle and fled the scene following the incident.
The remains of the victim who has been identified as Vishwa Varunaka, a resident of Angoda, currently lie at the Colombo General Hospital.
Angoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
