A 24-hour water cut will be in effect from 8am tomorrow (10) to 8am on Wednesday (11) in several areas, the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.
Accordingly, water supply will be cut off to Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ela, Katunayake and Seeduwa Urban Council areas as well as Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela Pradeshiya Sabha areas and a part of the Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha area.
The NWSDB said the water supply will be interrupted to these areas owing to urgent repairs that have to be undertaken to the Sapugaskanda grid substation of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
