The water supply to several areas in Kandy will be suspended for 24-hours from 7am tomorrow (Dec 17) till 7 am the following day, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.
The board said the reason for the suspension was owing to maintenance work that is due to get underway at the Meewathura Water treatment plant in Kandy.
Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended in the Udunuwara, Yatinuwara, Kadugannawa, Pilimatalawa, Gannoruwa and Peradeniya areas.
The water cut will also be imposed in areas such as Maligathenna, Udapedaradeniya, Mahakanda, Bowalawatta, Augusta Watta, Murutalawa, Kiribathkumbura, Wathurakumbura and Yahalatenna
