A total of 28 persons have been injured in an accident involving a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus in Jayawindagama this morning.
The bus had been travelling from Palampitiya to Yatiyanthota at the time of the accident.
It is report that the bus had skidded off the main road and tumbled down a 15 metre precipice in the area.
The injured passengers are currently receiving treatrment at the Karawenalla hospital, police said.
However, no victims are in a critical condition.
