3000 kilos of heroin seized since 2010 ; 1000 kilos this year : Police

Nearly 3000 kilos of heroin have been seized since 2010, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.

Around 200,000 suspects too had been arrested along with these narcotics during this time period, he added.

More than 20,000 suspects had been arrested with just over 1000 kilos of narcotics this year, the Spokesman said.
