A group of 31 persons who were plotting to cause unrest in the country, are to be charged under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) today (May 15), police sources said.
These suspects were taken into custody while allegedly plotting an attack in Koswatta, Puttalam yesterday, and are due to be produced before the Chilaw courts today.
According to police sources, charges against the suspects would be filed under the PTA due to the discovery of lethal weapons in their possession.
