396 officers and 8110 other rankers in Army promoted in view of ’Victory Day’
To be in parallel with the ‘Victory Day’ (May 18) Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva with the approval of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence has promoted a total of 396 Officers and 8110 Other Ranks who are eligible for their next rank with effect from today (18), Army said.
