A 69-year old woman was arrested in Horana yesterday (Feb 06) for obtaining Rs 295,000 by promising foreign employment in New Zealand, Police said.
The woman was arrested at around 12:30 pm along with 40 passports.
Police have identified the suspect as Aluthge Irangani, a resident of Horana.
She is due to be produced before the Horana Magistrates Court today.
