A 73-year old has died after being attacked by a wooden plank in Sammanthurai yesterday (Oct 6).
Police said the incident had occured during a brawl between two individuals in the coast of Nintavur last night.
The victim has been identified as M.T Meeran alias 'Meera Lebbe'. His remains have been place under police protection at the scene of the incident.
Police believe that two drunk persons had attacked the victim. A search operation is underway to apprehend the suspects.
