Eighty three persons who arrived in the country from overseas have been tested positive for Coronavirus on Monday, the Government Information Department said.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry said a total of 2,496 persons returning from overseas (193 foreigners and 2303 Sri Lankans) were tested positive for COVID-19 since the first outbreak.
Yesterday also recorded five COVID deaths from Jaffna, Gampaha, Kochchikade, Pamunugama and Kalutara North with all deceased being over 60 years.
