A group of naval personnel in coordination with officials of the Mannar Police, during a raid carried out in Thulkuduirippu, Talaimannar yesterday nabbed a suspect with 505 g of Kerala Cannabis. Along with the suspect a motorbike used for cannabis transferring, was also taken into custody,Navy said.
Upon further questioning into the incident, the suspect revealed of another haul of Kerala Cannabis concealed in a scrub at the village of JRS, Talaimannar. Following the information, the naval and Police personnel carried out a search and managed to recover 8.720 kg of Kerala Cannabis. The apprehended person together with the stock of cannabis was handed over to the Mannar Police for onward legal action.
