An accomplice of the drug trafficket, Pookatikanna has been arrested in Colombo 13, the Special Task Force (STF) said today (May 13).
Upon information received by the STF officials of the organized Crime Suppression Unit II, they conducted a raid near the Amarbabar junction in Colombo 13.
Subsequently, a 43 year old resident of Colombo 13 was arrested for possession of 2kg 43g of Kerala Cannabis. The suspect was handed over to the Kotahena Police for further investigation.
Upon questioning, it was revealed that the suspect has handled the drug network within the island of major drug dealer and Underworld mobster, Balachandran Pushparaj alias Pookatikanna, who is in a foreign country.
