The Additional Secretary of the Health Ministry Saman Ratnayake was arrested by the CID over thev import of substandard human Immunoglobulin injections.
The arrest was made after a statement was recorded for more than six hours by the CID.
The Maligakanda Magistrate had ordered that calls over at CID to provide a statement today.
