SJB MP Neomal Perera moving the motion opened the debate. The motion was seconded by MP Nalin Bandara.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe last week appointed a three-member committee inclusive of Retired Air Force Commander A.C.M. Jayalath Weerakkody and President’s Counsel Harsha A.J. Soza, headed by Retired Supreme Court Justice S.I. Imam, to probe into allegations pertaining to the related documentary.
