Adverse weather conditions including heavy rains and incidents of falling of trees have caused inconvenience to the public in Colombo and outstations.
The Colombo-Kandy Main Road was blocked due to a fallen tree between Nelundeniya and Udukumbura, the police said.
Another tree that had fallen on the tracks between Maradana and Baseline obstructed the function of trains on the Kelani Valley Line.
An earthslip that occurred between Beragala and Haldummulla blocked the Colombo-Badulla Main Road.
Police further said that several roads in Colombo are flooded as a result of the heavy downpour.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution to avoid potential accidents.
