SLAF Commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa has appointed a committee to probe the air crash in which a training aircraft was destroyed claiming the life of two Air Force personnel today morning.
The aircraft used to train pilots was on a test mission when it crashed close to the Air force academy in China Bay in Trincomalee.
The victims were identified as Wing Commander Tharindu Herath and Flying Officer Peshan Warnasuriya.
Wing Commander Herath was an old boy of Maliyadewa College, Kurunegala and Flying Officer Warnasuriya of St Anne's Kurunegala.
