Two persons, aged 16 and 67 have been killed using a mammoty by a person who was under the influence. The duo were killed by the 42 year old suspect following an argument in Galgamuwa.
An unidentified couple in a motorbike have attempted to grab the handbag of a female pedestrian in Akarawita, Gampaha. The male suspect had stabbed a nearby 30 year old man while attempting to flee. The suspect died on admission to hospital. Gampaha police are on search for the murderer.
A 50 year old has been stabbed to death in Bharathipuram, Kiliweddi in Muttur police area. Police said both the suspect and the victim were under the influence and the stabbing had taken place following an argument.
